Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum amount of personal information necessary to provide our services.

Information Collected via Social Login

The App supports social logins through Kakao, Naver, Google, Facebook, and Apple. We may collect the following:

  • Basic Profile Information: Name (nickname), Email address
  • Unique Identifier (UID): A unique identifier issued by the social login provider

Information Generated During Service Use

  • Voice Data: Your voice is processed temporarily for pronunciation practice and AI conversation features. (It is not permanently stored on our servers and is deleted after analysis or processed locally.)
  • Device Information: Device type, OS version, and app usage logs

Purpose of Collection and Use

The collected information is used strictly for the following purposes:

  1. Member Registration and Management: Identity verification, prevention of unauthorized use, and confirmation of registration intent
  2. Service Provision: Providing AI-based pronunciation correction, conversation practice features, and saving learning progress
  3. Service Improvement: Bug fixes, feature enhancements, and usage statistics analysis

Provision of Information to Third Parties

In principle, we do not provide your personal information to third parties.

Exceptions are made only when required by law or when requested by investigative agencies in accordance with legal procedures and methods.

Retention and Destruction of Personal Information

Once the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved, the information is destroyed without delay.

However, if retention is required by law, we will store the data for the period prescribed by relevant regulations.

User Data Deletion Instructions

Users can request the deletion of their personal information at any time. Speech Up supports data deletion (account withdrawal) through the following methods:

Deletion via the App

  1. Launch and log in to the Speech Up app
  2. Go to the Settings or MY menu
  3. Click Delete Account or Withdraw Membership
  4. Upon confirmation in the pop-up, your account and all linked data will be permanently deleted immediately

Deletion via Email Request

If you cannot access the app, you may send a deletion request to the below email:

Subject: Request for Speech Up Account Deletion

Required Info: Registered email address and login method (e.g., Apple/Facebook)

We will notify you of the result via email after processing your request.
